EpicJax
EpicJax is challenging Jacksonville to move beyond “it’s not possible” to embrace ambitious expectations, civic leadership and an intolerance for inaction.
From ensuring every child is ready for kindergarten, to making Jacksonville the safest city in our nation and outpacing peer cities in Black wealth and prosperity, we have a collective vision that is epic.
EpicJax accelerates progress through “sprints”, demonstrating that change is achievable.
The Process
The EpicJax sprint process is a time-bound, iterative approach to cross-sector collaborations that lead change with and for communities. Sprint teams rapidly test new ideas, learn from collective experiences, and adapt strategies accordingly, inspiring communities to pull together to make Jacksonville a world-class city with opportunity for all.

Each 90-day sprint focuses on one outcome at a time, and each month tests or iterates on a great idea for how to get there. Adding 90-day “warmups” before each sprint allows the community to have time for inquiry before we ideate on truly informed epic possibilities.
By the end of the 90 days we will have moved the needle towards our ambitious-yet-achievable outcomes.
